PRESIDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

GUSTAV HOFER<\/strong>
\nBorn in the Bolzano province, moved to Rome, where he is living since 2000, after graduating in Communication Sciences in Vienna and in Cinema in London. From 2001, works as culture correspondent for french-german television Arte. For the same network, he\u2019s hosting \u201cJournal de la Culture \u2013 Arte Kultur\u201d since 2005. Before Suddenly Last Winter he had shot other documentaries: Uomini per tutte le stagioni for M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res; Il sangue dell\u2019Impero for Rai Tre channel, with Giovanni Sparo; Torna a casa, Bush and Korea Prioritaria, winner of the Special Mention at the Genova Film Festival.<\/p>\n

LUCA RAGAZZI<\/strong>
\nBorn in Rome, graduated in Literature and Philosophy, has been working for the last 15 years as a journalist and cinema critic for many newspapers and magazines as well as for Radio Rai. Suddenly Last Winter, which saw Luca involved along with Gustav as director, screenwriter, co-producer and main character, after the Special Mention received at Berlin Film Festival 2008, participated at more than 90 festivals around the world, meeting everywhere with outstanding success; it has been acquired, among others, by TV stations in US, Canada, France, Germany, Thailand and Korea. In 2009 it was awarded the Silver Ribbon Award for Best Documentary.<\/p>\n

JURY<\/strong><\/p>\n

MARK SMITH<\/strong>
\nBorn in London, deputy editor of \u201cTime Out Amsterdam\u201d monthly magazine and contributing writer for \u201cStyle.com\u201d and \u201cDazed & Confused\u201d. Arrived in the Netherlands after stints in Paris, Berlin and most recently the Middle East, where he was film editor for \u201cTime Out Dubai.\u201d Has written features for Screen International, and curated Tesco Disco, a multimedia club night in London which encouraged short film contributions as well as the consumption of gin.<\/p>\n

PETER MARCIAS<\/strong>
\nDirector and screenwriter, born in Sardinia, graduated in movie directing. Living and working in Rome, has realized several commercials, documentaries and short movies, presented at National and International festivals. In 2006 his debut in features, the collective movie Bambini (episode I\u2019m Alice), produced and distributed by Gianluca Arcopinto, is in competition at Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and at Giffoni Film Festival. He directed the docu-fiction Wasn\u2019t Spain Catholic? (2007) and the feature film Suspended Hours (2008) competing at the S\u00e3o Paulo International Film Festival.<\/p>\n

ROBERTO SCHINARDI<\/strong>
\nJournalist, cinema and television critic, contributing writer for il manifesto, Ciak, Ciak in Mostra, Torino Magazine, Pride and the website Gay.it where he has been film editor for 10 years as well as writing the daily television column Gaywatch. Editor of Kali, a free press magazine dedicated to contemporary art. In 2003 he published the essay \u201cCinema gay, l\u2019ennesimo genere\u201d for Edizioni Cadmo. He directed and scripted some short movies, among them Senza Chiave (1998) with Arturo Brachetti, Danilo Bertazzi e Sara D\u2019Amario. He works as well for literary prizes.
