#QL16: Anhell69

Anhell69

Anhell69
by Theo Montoya
(Colombia, 75’, 2022)

A funeral car cruises the streets of Medellín, while a young director tells the story of his past in this violent and conservative city. He remembers the pre-production of his first film, a B-movie ghost story. The young queer community of Medellín is cast for the film, but the lead dies of a heroin overdose at the age of 21, just like many friends of the director.
In a violent, hidden and nocturnal Medellín, a story of (broken) dreams and hope. The picture of a generation with no future, a sentimental journey between bodies and ghosts, a dance suspended between life and death.
