17. Queer Lion Award: films in competition

The line-up of the 16 titles competing for the 17. Queer Lion Award is possible thanks to the direct and precious collaboration of the different selection committees of the Venice International Film Festival.

All films with a duration of 30 minutes or more, with relevant LGBT themes and characters, are eligible for the Queer Lion Award competition.

For the 2023 line-up, special thanks go to:

17. Queer Lion will be awarded by a jury composed by members of the Board of Queer Lion Association, attending in Venice Lido the whole 80. Venice International Film Festival.

The award ceremony is set for Friday, September 8th in Venice Lido. Time and location of the ceremony, as well as the verdict, will be announced during the 80. Venice International Film Festival.
